ArtWalk Puerto Vallarta
Although Puerto Vallarta has become a popular destination for travelers, it has still held on to its rich cultural heritage. It’s easy to see this as you stroll past the charming cafes, inviting restaurants, and lively shops that adjoin the town’s cobblestone streets. Yet during your venture you’ll most likely notice something else that stands out – the many art galleries that comprise Puerto Vallarta’s thriving art scene, and there’s no better way to take it all in than by participating in the ArtWalk Puerto Vallarta.
The art walk, typically held from October until May, showcases some of the best works in town crafted by local artists, including paintings, sculptures, blown glass, and pottery. Local and foreign art collectors and enthusiasts can visit the nine participating galleries throughout the Centro Historico, just off Puerto Vallarta’s famous Malecon, at their leisure, enjoying a glass of wine and mingling with the artists. All the galleries are a short walk from one another and the art walk itself is self-guided, so you visit any of the locations in the order you like and stay for as long as you want. Not only that, but many of the pieces are for sale, so if you see something you like you may be able to take it home with you.
If you’re visiting Puerto Vallarta from October until May and you’d like to experience the town’s vibrant art scene, then you must check out ArtWalk Puerto Vallarta!
